Casa Delfi is a residential building offering vacation rental suites in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca—a growing coastal city known for its warm climate, beaches, vernacular architecture, and bohemian atmosphere. Located just ten minutes from the beach, the project responds to a low-density, high-tourism context by prioritizing privacy through a three-meter setback and a double façade that blocks views toward vacant lots, enhances cross ventilation, and reduces thermal load.
The three-story building, topped with a rooftop terrace, houses eight suites, each with a bathroom, private terrace, kitchenette, and workspace. A central layout allows for efficient peripheral circulation, connected via a rear staircase. The design emphasizes interior comfort and livability through passive strategies, generous glass openings, skylights, and latticework.
The material palette features stucco and Macuil wood, used across façades, furniture, and interior details, complemented by natural textiles. Perimeter planting and endemic species reinforce the connection to the tropical setting. Casa Delfi blends functionality, freshness, and a contemporary design approach centered on the interior experience.
